Scania Topline Conversion

Hi All,

I'm thinking about doing a topline conversion to my scania. I've done a bit of research and can only fine this one.

Does anyone else know of a UK or a different supplier ?

I've seen a couple on ebay but they look cheap and seem to go for mega money

stick with the verkerk one, well worth the money, and you wont be disappointed, them ones on ebay look crap, and not worth the money. just like them t cab convershion kits.

I would stick to verkerk as well i have a cheap one from ebay and one from verkerk and the verkerk are worth buying rather than skimping on the cheaper ones

Thanks a lot for the advise, I thought this would be the case.

I've just placed an order for Verkerk one.

Now on to the next mission of finding a roof light bar

Are these any good ? or still stick with the Verkerk one? (they do look the same )

I could be wrong, but I don't think the R730 kit from RigidRC includes the topline roof. According to their website, you get the Front Grille, Front Bumper, Side Skirts and Side Spoiler Parts. This kit is comparable to the Verkerk "R-Serie Facelift" but you still need to source the topline roof from somewhere. I'd say just go ahead and get the Verkerk roof. I bought mine from them too.

Bit of an update on this one, not sure if this is a good or a bad thing but Verkerk have been very slow in responding to me.

After 4 weeks of chasing my order to seen when it will arrive I got the following reply..................

Dear Customers.

Due to the outstanding sales of the Scania Topline roofs this summer, we can’t keep up with, the demanded hand laboured productions of this item anymore.

We have to admit, yes there is a substantial production / delivery problem going on.
So as Verkerk Model build team we have decided to order the build of 5 professional production moulds for this fantastic item, this is also a milestone in our business development without any doubt.
So counting from this day forward, we will receive the first productions within 14 / 18 weeks.
The Topline roof conversion set will be a Full white ABS product, instead of the raisin material we still use today.
The delivery delays will be history of course when this project is finished.

And I'm still waiting for Verkerk to dispatch my order.... I've got Paypal involved now.

I really hope this is a one off as I want to order some more from him.

I would be too. The eternal, infernal waiting [for parts] is certainly the most frustrating part of this hobby - at least for me.

Well I don't really want too but he wasn't answering emails etc. As soon as PayPal made contact he mailed me.

The thing that gets me, is on the website the part is "In Stock" not "Made to Order" which is fact it is. Very unprofessional and goes agaianst every review on here which is nothing but praise.

Also if I get my money back what alternatives are out there ????
