Nice idea, Ive been speaking to Rob from racoon models and he's got a new machine comming that might be able to make shutters! but its a might and will take some experimenting!
Im gona take this build slow and steady,

Roller shutters on my Robbe fire truck.

The slats are stuck to a very sticky, reinforced type of Cellotape

when I did a roller shutter on a rear door of a container, I used 2 strips of 0.4mm plasticard glued to the back of 10mm strips.. enough flexibilty, and hasnt broken off (yet..)..
