I've kept the motor and diff as standard, I connected the black and red wire to the ESC and left the copper cooling ring in place, I and only using a 4 cell 4200Mah pack so it only puts out 4.8v... the motor should be powered by 5 x 1.5v AA's giving out 7.5v at 800Mah... I might in future put a AA 5 cell pack in at some point to give it a bit more power as it's a bit gutless with the Sub C 4 cell pack....

The speed controller you listed on the description is a acoms AT5 but that esc is old and you cant get it anymore so do you know which would be the best esc to use with the battery you put in the description can you use the same speed controller as in the tamiya trucks. Thanks

I would imagine any brushed ESC would work, the AT-5 was just a spare I had in my box at the time of building it.... you only have to be careful of what ESC you choose when you're running 10x2's for racing....

Would you say the wire steering bar is a good way to have the steering?
Thanks

I am having trouble getting the metal bar right with the servo and i am finding that the servo is only pushing the bar and not the steering rack would you say your way is the easyest?
Thanks

I have followed what you have done more or less exactly the same and it has finally worked but i have noticed that the turning circle isn't as good as what i hoped it would of been with the micro servo, have you noticed the same?
Thanks
